Step 6 - Complex Template Settings

A - Click on the "Complex Template" on the tab control.

B -There are three lines in Report Heading.  The First is for the "School Name", second is the
"Report Title" and third is the "Report Date".

1 - The first should pull the "School Name" from the "Schools" table.  If it doesn't work,
you can type in whatever you want for the school name.
2 - The "Report Title" will be whatever you typed in as the "Report Name" on the
"Report Setup" tab.  You can change this by typing in whatever you want.
3 - The "Report Date" is set to display the current date in long format.

To the left of each of these entries are "Font Size" drop down list boxes which can be used to adjust the font size of these three lines.

In the upper left hand corner of the report is the PowerSchool logo.  This is so you can get back to the PowerSchool main page from your report. Fill in the IP for your PowerSchool server.  It could be a number such as "10.0.2.1" or a name depending on how your system is set up.

In the upper right hand corner of the report you can display a school logo.  Fill in the url of the logo and the width and height of the image.

C - Table Headings and Table Details are next.  There are "Font Size" drop down list boxes to set font size. The "Back Color" command button allows you to change the background color of the table headings and there is a "Alt Row Color" Check box to enable/disable Alternate Row Color on the detail lines.

D - The Table Heading come from the field names in the PowerSchool tables.  If they are not descriptive enough, just type in the desired table headings.  In the sample below, the titles "Student" and "Teacher" were typed in to replace the old titles "Last First".  Titles "Class", "Term", "Period" and "Course" were also edited.

E - There are three text boxes that let you adjust table cell properties: "Border line width",
      "Cell spacing" and "Cell padding".

Three comand buttons:
"Save Template to HTML file" - Allows you to save the template as a separate
      template file.
"Embed HTML into Report file" - Embeds the HTML Template on this page
into the report file. If you don't click this button, the report will not have a template.
"Remove HTML code from Report File" - If you decide you want a report
without a template, this Command button will remove the code.

"Warning" - This red warning will be displayed until you click the
"Embed HTML into Report file" button.
Code will appear in the "Programmer Comments" text box after you
                         click the button.
